We tried to use colours that Peter Gossage used in his illustrations. Lots of lovely vibrant primary colours and different shades of blues and greens.

When they were completed we wrote a small summary about what our sculpture represents from the legend and how we felt about it and finally a name for our sculpture.

Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others.

Hi there! Room 20 has been very busy at the end of the term creating sculptures for the art exhibition!
We were inspired by the amazing Maori legends written and illustrated by Peter Gossage.

Our first step was to find an image in one of the legends that we thought we could transform into a 3 dimensional shape and turn into a sculpture.
We planned, built, paper mache and painted. It took weeks!!
We are proud of our creations.
